The new BMW 328i will have a starting price of $35,795 (including destination charges), and the new six-cylinder BMW 335i will have a starting price of $43,295 (including destination charges). The new sedan only raises the existing price by about $300, a small fee for a roomier interior, a more efficient powertrain, and an increased amount of standard features.

In addition to these upgrades, the new BMW boasts a substantial redesign. It holds a higher level of equipment, including: Bluetooth integration, USB and iPod connectivity, and a 6.5-inch dashboard display screen for the iDrive system. It also includes performance upgrades, such as stop/start engine management and regenerative braking. The 328i will come standard with a 240-horsepower four-cylinder engine, and six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed automatic transmission. The 335i will come equipped with a 300 horsepower, twin -turbocharged six-cylinder engine.  A hybrid variant (the ActiveHybrid 3) will also be available next fall, but BMW has not released pricing for this vehicle yet.

The 2012 BMW 3 Series will make its official debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, so Lauderdale BMW should receive more information at that time.
