BMW Gets Greener by Harnessing the Power of the Sun

There are very few energy sources that can be harnessed for next-to-nothing. One of these is solar power. To further "green" itself, Bavarian auto manufacturer BMW has installed four-hundred new solar modules to harness the power of the sun at its Zentrum Museum, visitor's museum, and electric car charging stations in South Carolina. The modules are now in operation and will provide 240 watts each of cleaner, more sustainable power.

BMW Adds Hybrid Drive to Sporty Sedans

BMW recently announced plans to add hybrid versions of its 3- and 5-Series sport sedans.  The new sedans, named the 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5 and 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 3, were introduced January 9, 2012 at the Detroit Auto Show. The ActiveHybrid 5 is slated to appear at dealerships like Lauderdale BMW of Pembroke Pines, serving the greater Miami, FL area, in the spring of 2012, while the ActiveHybrid 3 is set to arrive in fall 2012.

BMW Named Top Luxury Brand in the U.S.

Sometimes the auto industry can be a gritty, head-to-head combat arena. 2011 was an interesting year for both BMW and Mercedes-Benz luxury brands, but BMW has officially been named "Top Luxury Brand" for the year. New BMW 3 Series Comes at a Very Affordable Price

Have you been drooling over the new BMW 3 Series, which is set to debut at dealerships in February 2012? Well, Lauderdale BMW of Pembroke Pines has great news for you. The new BMW 328i will have a starting price of $35,795 (including destination charges), and the new six-cylinder BMW 335i will have a starting price of $43,295 (including destination charges). The new sedan only raises the existing price by about $300, a small fee for a roomier interior, a more efficient powertrain, and an increased amount of standard features.
